The work of Pittsburgh-based, multi-media artist John Peña's "Daily Geology" is featured in an exhibit in the Kaemmer Family Gallery of Perlman Teaching Museum, located in the Weitz Center for Creativity. Peña's two-year autobiographical project "Daily Geology" depicts one drawing a day to highlight a memorable if unremarkable moment or experience. Aiming to dramatize links between humans and nature, Peña defines his life as a slow accretion of experience; he offers small pencil drawings full of family dynamics, random encounters, personal hungers, and longings, to gradually tell the big story of a life.
