For the second straight day, the Carleton College baseball team put on an explosive offensive exhibition, thrashing Luther College by a score of 21-6. Seven of the Knights’ starters recorded multiple hits, including four who tallied four or more. In total, Carleton (7-6) notched 27 hits over the course of the game, surpassing the 20-hit performance in Saturday’s contest against Wesleyan as the highest total of the young season. The 21 runs marked the second-highest tally recorded by the Knights, following the 26-5 drubbing of Crown College in the team’s season opener.
